Stereophonics @ Alcatraz
I was thinking: Oasis are over, Led Zeppelin are over, the Beatles I think they're over ^_^, so what's my 4th fav band? The Phonics!
They're Oasis friends as well, and performed gigs with them.
16th November: Stereophonics new album "Keep calm and carry on"
At their last gig in Milan (2005) I met them, they were on the tourbus outside the venue and I met also funny people, a girl from Rimini, an English boy, I gave him a free ticket and he was so happy and surprised because of me speaking English so good ^_^ (sorry for mistakes :), I said it's thanks to your songs :), he said he wanted to learn Italian so well. It's a pity we lost ourselves after the gig, hope to find them again.

tour for the 3rd solo album with his band, but probably he will perform summat from his old Suede career.

One time even Noel Gallagher said Brett writes good lyrics :), usually speaking about women and cars :)
For those who didn't know them, his most famous song was probably Beautiful ones:

This is a song of the '80s (also poem), titled "Le ragazze dell'Est" (The girls of East), very emotional and meaningful, which I tried to translate down.
dedicated to all the girls from East Europe, the most beautiful in the world.
some ways to learn the language of love :)
THE GIRLS OF EAST
In pale mornings still buttered of mist
little laughing as coins blowns in cafes
naive faces a bit maked up of tender euphoria
light eyes twin lakes bitter sweet eyes...I've seen them
between cement and golden domes that wind wipes away
under bus shelters waiting for the sun and their tram
well covering their heart between sandals and old fantasy shirts
and some man alone and drunk vomiting over the world...
I've seen them bringing flowers and then flee away
and trying to say something in a funny Italian
I've seen them with sand hair gathered in foulards
and a new far pain kept with the hand...
I've seen them singing in short days of an idea
and elbows and friendships weaved in a street
I've seen them pressing the tears of a spring that never came
flight of stork with wax wings...
Still I've seen them impatient in the queues for ice creams
when the sky tired of winter, it promises a bit of blue
little Queens between statues of heroes and workers
soft thorns of anxiety in round white breasts...
I've seen them
excited funny and sweaty for happiness
in the hotels where dancing shouting joy
and drinking beer and closing outside the usual snow and reality
and some between them dancing and dancing and then dancing...
I've seen them
in the evenings when factories and the streets are closed
on their lips vague smiles of waiting and who knows what
writing on freezed glasses their fantasies
poor beautiful women in love with love and life...the girls of East.
