A new album by The 'California Gurls' singer Katy Perry (who recently said on Q Magazine to be an Oasis fan) is to be released soon. Raised by Christian pastor parents, the American beauty grew up listening to only gospel music, sang in church as a child and studied Italian opera. Her songs "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed a Girl" have received negative reactions from both religious and gay sectors. The songs have been respectively labeled as being promoting homosexuality but also homophobic.
