- 1 month. If you’re planning to come to Milan, a nice period is December-January. The city with its Christmas lights becomes magic, almost psychedelic, kaleidoscopic. 

The dome of “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele” becomes blue (to represent the sky with stars) and the people usually kiss here. In the centre of the dome: the red & white flag of Milan (=England). 

The main colours are gold and blue, and the place looks magic. You can see something in the video below. 

They usually also count the kisses, and every kiss automatically donates money for a charity for Africa. 

They just closed a McDonald’s here (it was a meeting point for students), to have another Prada. Money talks…

In the square, the biggest (natural) Christmas tree in the world (from the Italian Alps, my family’s origins, the mountains you can see from Milan)
