This is new, in the banks square ^_^, well in the Stock Exchange square, very Oasis as a V sign. The author now made money with this stuff and lives in New York: they call it "art", I call it bullshit.
It's by Maurizio Cattelan, not from Milan but a zone of idiots. He's engaged to the daughter of my English teacher (an Italian MTV veejay, Victoria Cabello, born in London), but I think they're not together now.
He also made the Polish Pope on the floor, hit by a meteorite.
I don't know if I like it, I need time :). I would like it, if it was the idea of Milan saying fuck you to someone hating us (there are many). The majority of people don't like it, I think only the tourists will find it funny.
It's like the monolith of 2001 Space Odyssey: a big fuck you ^_^
For the place where it's placed, it's probably saying fuck off to the world crisis that cut off everything to us, but not the power to say fuck off ^_^
‎"On my grave, I want them to write: 'Don't fucking come here with your bunches of flowers'. I don't want a gravestone. I want a V-sign, two fingers. When you're dead, you're dead. It's now that matters".
