I made this image, do you like it? :)
As anticipated, at dawn here on Valentine's day, Beady Eye album (out on 28 February) "Different Gear Still Speeding" leaked... I'm listening to it (but of course already ordered 3 :) (also vinyl), $10=only £6.
It's probably the most important music album of the year 2011 in the world, not only because I'm a fan, but surely also the most expected one.
It was a temptation difficult to resist... Let's say that I want to listen because I want to know very well the songs before the upcoming concerts.
I'm not putting a link to download it, but I can tell you how is the album... Or give you the link if you get on your knees and promise you'll buy it :)
Well, usually you appreciate music with time, and when you put personal memories on it, maybe now it's still too early to judge. And I don't want to influence much the people, at least now. Anyway we've already read many reviews in the past weeks.

Usually reviews give 4 stars out of 5, I'd give a 4.5. Maybe only What's the Story Morning Glory can still have a 5 out of 5, but perfection doesn't exist.
The cars are often quoted in different songs (in fact the album title is Different Gear Still Speeding), I think it's a good album to listen while driving :), in the night (in fact the word "dreams" is also repeated - but better not to sleep while driving :). Album that ends with the sound of the sea, as in Paul Weller's English rose.

Every time there's something new from the Gallaghers, even only one song, I can't sleep at night and I continuously listen to it. You can imagine now with a whole album. It's catatonia, even more than a mania. Yes, I live for this, not ashamed to admit it, proud of my passion. There are people with few interests, and weak ones, they seem asleep (Different Year, Still Sleeping, lol). Not our case :)
First impression...this album is awesome... first I listened to one I immediately liked months ago, Three Ring Circus (I expected it better). Then I heard Wigwam (quite psychedelic), and another long, the one I liked most, is probably the Morning Son (by Liam), sounds as a dream (with seagulls at the beginning), the title and lyrics "play" with the words, also referred to the morning sun. I'm thinking it's music good for some film soundtrack. In fact, Liam is gonna produce a Beatles film soon. And then The Beat Goes On, very retro (sounds like a classic, feels like crying, quite touching). Another wonderful one: Kill for a dream (with a final na-na-na as the Beatles). I expected Wind Up Dream was worse, but it's a great one (with also the harmonica). So these were the songs I noticed among the others. Well we already knew four (the nice The Roller, Bring the Light, Four Letter Word, and Beatles & Stones).
Then we'll see well the possible meanings of each song. Sorry I feel too much emotion to write things with a sense now, I'm having that effect this album can convey as Kasabian's Tom Meighan said, blowing my mind. I need to listen again and again, so I can say more.

I made these quick slideshows-videos, quite appropriate.
around the minute 2:38 the song becomes unforgettable

Sexy song :), leopard-jaguar skin everywhere: with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Milan's leopard Just Cavalli where Liam was the other day, Liam as always @ Como lake near Milan for his birthday (auguri=best wishes), paparazzi, Italian mod scooter, mod Quadrophenia bed, and my countryhouse bed, lol

still with something referred to Quadrophenia,
and to the Beatles in Milan. After Milano Lambretta, Milano Alfa Romeo speeding :)
"...staring at the deep blue sky, and you say to the driver: just drive... cos you’ve never felt so alive... we open the door and let out the sound..."
In love with these words by Andy Bell. I put a photo of McLaren :) in Monza near Milan, the fastest circuit (the song says: you're moving too fast in the back of the car :), when we've been there to meet the drivers.
-1 month to the start of the world championship.
Just one week ago Noel Gallagher said he's not able to swim, and as we know he's not even able to drive :), I think Liam hasn't got a driving license as him, but they don't need it. I have, but I almost never drive. It's because we feel to be important and we want a driver :)

psychedelia, WigWam WonderWall film -> George Harrison Pretty Green inspiration, Beady Eye's Four Letter Word -> Michelangelo Antonioni Blow-up (Milan's Carlo Ponti), see old post (also Zabriskie Point -> Oasis' Who feels love), are you in a hole ('sick of life and its demands'), wife, car, different gear still speeding

Great days: we met Liam the SWEET man: he embraced me, all the people were going towards him, I was the only one he was going towards me :) (language concession :), he told me "nice jacket" lol, gave him 2 Relays cds, explained him, Gem & Andy were there too, sunshine and all.
He was also @ Just Cavalli Hollywood near me, the restaurant-club by Roberto Cavalli with leopard skin as Liam's old shoes :)

another new album preview, now 45 seconds per song,
with other photos from Beady Eye in Milan (also @ Tropical Pizza)

Another new event, just to remind you to go as every year, in the place of Milan Expo 2015:
Borsa Internazionale del Turismo 2011, the International Tourism Exchange, from 17 February, public: on 19 & 20.
see www.bit.fieramilano.it
In this place, Oasis had to perform their last concert ever, in 2009, before the "5-year-break". Maybe in 2015.

All around the world, appropriate world tourism :)

room 1 - as some time ago Liam said "people will call Beady Eye their kids" :)
(the child real name's Harrison, named after George :)
he looks like Liam :)
nice cover, lol
In Italian if you say "Bibi ahi" that sounds as Beady Eye, it's something that children understand, when they hurt (for example here he had to be careful :)

room 2 - nice cartoon of World outside my room with Noel on guitar ahaha and making peace :)

room 3- as you can read, one of the Beatles support acts in Milan was Peppino Di Capri :)

Here I come here I come here I come :) just call me the rollaaaaa... with my posts about history. After this one the other night Noel on the radio talked about Italian food :)
Some time ago, writing about Beady Eye @ the isle of Wight, I posted an Italian song about it. Usually me and a lot of Italians don't like Italian music (not because it's bad music, it's quality, but especially because it's too much about love bullshit ahaha) and so we prefer the British one... but modern Italian music is famous for our opera singers as Pavarotti, Bocelli, etc. and the "musica leggera" (light music), sometimes very successful also in other countries (for example Eros Ramazzotti, Laura Pausini, etc.).
In the Sixties it was clearly influenced by the Beatles, I think these songs can still influence very much. Some foreign musicians were also inspired, in fact they also covered some.
This image comes from Fausto Papetti records (he played the saxophone), always with nude girls ^_^
And Italian 60s music influenced us too (then you can see why today we still love Oasis, inspired by the Beatles), 'cause our parents used to listen to their old songs also in the 80s and 90s, so when I hear them I feel a bit of nostalgia, reminding me of when I was a kid.
Then the 70s were famous for the Italian "progressive music", but it's another story :)

The Rokes (by Shel Shapiro from London),
English band successful in Italy and singing in Italian with English accent :)
they were the "Italian Beatles".
"C'è una strana espressione nei tuoi occhi" (=there's a strange expression in your eyes... they mean that you don't love me anymore")
Other famous songs: "Bisogna saper perdere" (with Lucio Dalla), "Che colpa abbiamo noi", "E' la pioggia che va", etc.
(there was another singer from UK, Mal, singing in Italian here below)

i Pooh (one of the most famous historic bands), "In silenzio" + "Piccola Katy"
Pretty Green graphics and clothes, lol
"...and in a morning of grey fog, suddenly you decided to go away...go go, little Katy"
Another famous song: "Tanta voglia di lei", etc. in the 70s

Gianni Morandi (very famous not only in Italy), "C'era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles e i Rolling Stones" (=there was a boy who as me loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones)
It says, he was from the United States of America, he was not handsome but he had a thousand girls by his side... He was singing "Help!" and "Ticket to ride" or "Lady Jane" or "Yesterday"... but then he received a letter, gave me his guitar and went to fight in Vietnam (and then died there)
Other hits: "Fatti mandare dalla mamma a prendere il latte", "Scende la pioggia", "In ginocchio da te", "Non son degno di te", etc.
For a period he was dressed as soldier, 'cause it was compulsory.

Mina (extremely popular, a sort of holy figure, as Noel Gallagher lol, also because she doesn't appear anymore in public, some say because she's fat, but she's still one of the greatest artists, born near Milan),
"Grande grande grande" (= [you're] great great great)
about someone with a bad character as Liam Gallagher ahaha (he hasn't) but she still loves him :) - she says: I love you then I hate you then I love you... it's great only you.
Other songs: "Se telefonando" (if calling by phone), "E' l'uomo per me" (he's the man for me), "Stessa spiaggia stesso mare" (same beach same sea), etc.

Renato dei Profeti (born in Milan), "Gli occhi verdi dell'amore" (=the green eyes of love)
"I was walking in the night, can't sleep anymore...when I met a girl who was alone as me, with the face of a child..."

Don Backy, "L'immensità" (with Johnny Dorelli, from near Milan, whose wife is the sexy Gloria Guida).
When I was a child in the '80s I liked Don Backy very much, I think he was cool :)

Rita Pavone, "La partita di pallone" (=old way to say: the football match), featuring AC Milan champions in the '60s.
It's about a jealous girl doubting her boyfriend was really going to the stadium :), so she wants to go there.
Other famous ones: "Il ballo del mattone", "Datemi un martello", "Viva la pappa col pomodoro", "Che m'importa del mondo", "Come te non c'è nessuno", etc.

Edoardo Vianello, "Guarda come dondolo" (=look how I swing)
Famous ones about seaside: "A-Abbronzatissima", "Con le pinne, fucile ed occhiali", and "I watussi", etc.

Patty Pravo, "Pensiero stupendo" (=wonderful thought), she's a vamp. Song of Breil Milano with Charlize Theron. It's from the '70s, but she was already successful in the 60s, other ones: "La bambola" (the doll), "Pazza idea" (crazy idea), "Ragazzo triste" (sad boy), etc.

Bobby Solo (he was very influenced by Elvis Presley, Liam Gallagher's idol),
"Una lacrima sul viso" (=a tear on your face) + "Non c'è più niente da fare" (=there's nothing left to do)
Another song: "Domenica d'agosto"

Little Tony, "Cuore matto" (=mad heart)
The man speaking @ 0:15 was Ferruccio Amendola, the most famous Italian film dubber, gave his voice to Dustin Hoffman, Sylvester Stallone, etc. They say Italians have the best dubbers while in other countries they're shite.
Another song: "Riderà" (she'll laugh)

Nada, "Ma che freddo fa" (=how cold is it),
here she was 16 years old and very similar to my mamma in the '70s :)

Franco IV e Franco I, "Ho scritto t'amo sulla sabbia" (=I wrote I love you on the sand)
this is a fucking great song (not the video :), could influence songs even today

Adriano Celentano (very popular, born in Milan, also appearing in "La dolce vita" film.
His nickname is the "Molleggiato" for the way he moves),
"24 mila baci" (=24,000 kisses)
Another famous one, a story from Milan: "Il ragazzo della via Gluck", then "Azzurro", etc.

Mario Tessuto, "Lisa dagli occhi blu" (=Lisa with blue eyes)

Gino Paoli, "Sapore di sale" (=taste of salt), very nostalgic reminding past summers.
Other ones: "Il cielo in una stanza" (the sky in a room), "Senza fine" (without an end)

Maurizio (born in Milan), "Cinque minuti e poi" (=five minutes and then), about airports :)

Caterina Caselli, "Nessuno mi può giudicare" (=nobody can judge me).
then "Perdono", "Bugiarda", etc.

Equipe 84 (Maurizio Vandelli), "Io ho in mente te" (=I've got you on my mind)

Nico Fidenco, "Legata a un granello di sabbia" (=bound to a grain of sand)

Fidenco again, "Con te sulla spiaggia" (=with you on the beach)

Nico Fidenco, "Legata a un granello di sabbia" (=bound to a grain of sand)

Fidenco again, "Con te sulla spiaggia" (=with you on the beach)
my favourite video, lol...for the faces. Featuring brunette Victoria Beckham at 0:10 and at 0:52 with the ball the double of an English girl I know, we laughed for one week, lol

i Camaleonti (founded in Milan), "L'ora dell'amore" (=the hour of love).
